Robyn Garrison

Our pastor is the Rev. Robyn Garrison, who came to Trinity in December, 2007. Robyn is originally from North Carolina, and grew up in Virginia Beach, Va. She graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill (we forgive her for that!) with a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, and received her Masters of Divinity from Louisville Presbyterian Seminary in 1997. She has previously served churches in South Bend, IN and in Rockbridge County, Va. Robyn is the proud mother of Erin, Kara and Benjamin. As pastor and mother, spare time is rare, but when she has some, Robyn enjoys hiking, camping, reading, and keeping up with Tar Heel basketball.

Choir Director

Ima Thibodeaux

We are pleased to welcome Ima to our staff here at Trinity!

Born, raised, and educated under the shadow of Parthenon, I had the privilege of receiving the depth that the Aristotelian philosophy can give to a young mind. Having been a child of God at very early age in my life, I dedicated my piano talent to Him, Who gives gifts and talents in abundance to all of us! I became the organist of my church at a very young age.
I majored in Piano Performance at the Greek Conservatory and I continued my studies in Columbia College here in Columbia; My masters in Piano Performance from the University of South Carolina, was one of the greatest times in my life, as I studied composer after composer in depth.

I have three sons: Micah is a graduate student in Washington State, where he studies Mental Health. Markos is a Junior here at USC majoring in Public Relations and Communications, and Matthew is a Sophomore at Winthrop University and he majors in Chemistry. They are all gifted musicians and they have great appreciation of art.

My husband Cedric, is a CPA, born and raised in Southern Louisiana, and he cooks an incredible gumbo. We would love to cook some Cajun and Greek dishes for the church!

I have been teaching piano to children here in Columbia since 1987 and I find great joy in teaching, and mentoring. I studied Color Analysis under Carla Mathis of San Francisco, and I have loved finding the right color palette for women of all ages! Color is such a gift of God and it has been given it to us to enjoy!

My gifts are hospitality, creativity, and music. I am thrilled of joining this lovely church and I truly look forward to serving the church with music, with love, with smiles. My favorite passage from the bible is Psalm 139.
We are fearfully and wonderfully made!

Church Secretary

Lauren Hicklin

Lauren joined the staff at Trinity in March, 2017 and is a great asset to our office! She is originally from Aiken and currently lives in Lexington with her two children, Scarlet (8) and Luke (3). She enjoys spending time outdoors, exploring nature with her children. In addition, Lauren has a photography business on the side and enjoys photographing old barns, buildings, and houses when she isn’t doing photo shoots of families and children. We are glad to have Lauren on board!

Nursery Caregiver

Clarice Robinson

Clarice Robinson is a Columbia native, and has been serving as the nursery worker at Trinity since 2005. In addition to providing loving care for our little ones, she also works with the preschool Sunday School teachers and uses her creative skills to plan and lead crafts with the children. She is a wonderful asset to Trinity and we are so glad to have her! Clarice works full time as a teaching assistant at Horrell Hill Elementary school and is proud to be a Dallas Cowboy and Gamecock fan!
