Our pastor is the Rev. Robyn Garrison, who came to Trinity in December, 2007. Robyn is originally from North Carolina, and grew up in Virginia Beach, Va. She graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill (we forgive her for that!) with a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, and received her Masters of Divinity from Louisville Presbyterian Seminary in 1997. She has previously served churches in South Bend, IN and in Rockbridge County, Va. Robyn is the proud mother of Erin, Kara and Benjamin. As pastor and mother, spare time is rare, but when she has some, Robyn enjoys hiking, camping, reading, and keeping up with Tar Heel basketball.
Our Music Director Search Committee has been formed. The members are Marion Chandler, chair; Dottie Copeland (Worship committee); Betty Orta and Paul Craycraft (Choir representatives); and Jenny Dearing (Congregation member). Pastor Robyn serves in an ex-oficio capacity. We are currently in the process of reviewing and updating the position description. Please check back here for more information about our search for a new Music Director! If you or someone you know is interested, please have them contact the church at 776-2067 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
In the meantime, each week, we welcome various guest organists/pianists to assist us during this interim time.
Sherry was born and raised in Columbia, SC. She has three children, Todd, Paige, and Chad Lamar and 5 grandchildren. She worked at Hopkins Jr. High and International Paper before retiring and coming to work at Trinity in December 2005. Sherry and her husband, Jim enjoy riding his motorcycle and camping in the mountains with their biker friends. They look forward to their Friday date nights with friends dining out and movies. They enjoy being door greeters at Shandon Baptist Church, and last but certainly not least, she loves Facebook and playing on the computer.
Clarice Robinson is a Columbia native, and has been serving as the nursery worker at Trinity since 2005. In addition to providing loving care for our little ones, she also works with the preschool Sunday School teachers and uses her creative skills to plan and lead crafts with the children. She is a wonderful asset to Trinity and we are so glad to have her! Clarice works full time as a teaching assistant at Horrell Hill Elementary school and is proud to be a Dallas Cowboy and Gamecock fan!
