Our pastor is the Rev. Robyn Garrison, who came to Trinity in December, 2007. Robyn is originally from North Carolina, and grew up in Virginia Beach, Va. She graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill (we forgive her for that!) with a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, and received her Masters of Divinity from Louisville Presbyterian Seminary in 1997. She has previously served churches in South Bend, IN and in Rockbridge County, Va. Robyn is the proud mother of Erin, Kara and Benjamin. As pastor and mother, spare time is rare, but when she has some, Robyn enjoys hiking, camping, reading, and keeping up with Tar Heel basketball.
Mr. Robbie Braciszewski
Robbie Braciszewski was born in Columbia, South Carolina where he has spent his entire life. He began his musical studies at the very early age of 5 taking private music lessons from the late Dr. Frank Olenchak. He began studying classical performance and theory at the age of 9 where he fell in love with the music of Joseph Haydn. He continued his private studies until the age of 16 where he changed his focus to ensemble music. He mastered the euphonium landing himself 1st chair in the Richland Northeast Symphonic band. Mr Braciszewski was also the drum major of the marching band at Richland Northeast which he says is one of his fondest memories. While majoring in Real Estate at the University of South Carolina, he began his private studies with Dr. Olenchak yet again primarily focusing on advanced theory. At 23, he began taking jazz theory from the late Mr. Robert Newton. Mr. Braciszewski has been a youth choir director, a handbell music minister, and lead organist/pianist at various churches around Columbia. He is currently in his 19th year at Timmerman School. Mr. Braciszewski is the Dean of Students and also the middle school choir director at Timmerman. “I am so excited to share my gifts with the community and the congregation at Trinity Presbyterian. I am equally as excited about this most recent opportunity to worship God through music and bringing each person closer to Him through that same music,” said Mr. Braciszewski when accepting the role as the full time musician at Trinity.
We are delighted to welcome Louise to our staff here at Trinity! She is here in the office Monday through Friday from 9-12.
Louise has lived and worked in the Lower Richland Community since 1975. She was born in Franklin, North Carolina, and moved to Georgia when she was in third grade, where she went on to graduate from Stone Mountain High School. She attended USC and has completed several continuing education courses, including four years of Education for Ministry. The loves of Louise’s life are her two sons, John and Rusty Davis. With their help, Louise has two wonderful “daughters,” Lynn and Debbie, eight grandchildren, and three great-grands. Family, whether her own, or extended and, especially, all of God’s family, are important to her.
Clarice Robinson is a Columbia native, and has been serving as the nursery worker at Trinity since 2005. In addition to providing loving care for our little ones, she also works with the preschool Sunday School teachers and uses her creative skills to plan and lead crafts with the children. She is a wonderful asset to Trinity and we are so glad to have her! Clarice works full time as a teaching assistant at Horrell Hill Elementary school and is proud to be a Dallas Cowboy and Gamecock fan!
